This company (actually a one-man operation - John McCaffrey) left us with a building site for over a year after taking J17,000 part payment from us. We had to take him to court to try to get it back but despite a court ruling in our favour we still haven't seen a penny from him. All we got was another bill from our lawyer. Don't let this man con you into thinking he has a regular work force (he doesn't) or that he has any kind of reliability. He will lie about anything to keep you on board. We had to get another company to finish the job and thank goodness we did. I can't imagine the mess he might have made of the job if he had ever got round to finishing it.

It all seems fine at first with the site visit, the plans, the planning permission and even the beginning of construction (three Polish guys who could hardly speak any english) but then he disappeared with a large chunk of our money and became almost impossible to contact. His place of work is an unmarked, run-down unit in an industrial estate, he never answers his home telephone, his mobile or responds to mail or even answers when you knock on his door. None of the conservatories pictured on his web site were built by him, they are all just pictures chosen at random from the internet. The list of complaints goes on and on. I repeat, don't trust him, don't go near him.

Had a conservatory built by them and wasn't satisfied with the finish or mess left. Owner stood over me and bullied me for nearly an hour until I wrote the final payment cheque.

"It will be warm and cosy" I was promised - the wind whistles through it due to poor fitting, silver birch seeds and small leaves come in through the roof, and the exterior finishes get blown off if we have any breeze at all.

Overpriced, poorly finished and with a very nasty, aggressive owner - avoid at all costs.

My conservatory was started second week of September. It took 9 weeks to complete it and am still having problems with the company especially now they have my money.

Our conservatory was built in the wrong position and not properly finished. They then took us to court for full payment (and lost). Also refused to correct poor workmanship.

Our experience with Classic Conservatories and the court case that followed, has been an absolute nightmare!

I have just had a conservatory installed by SEHBAC, the team were very friendly and tidy, cleaning their mess up after themselves. My conservatory was built within the week and is excellent quality, the self cleaning windows are a life saver, no more fingerprints to clean!

There is not a better company out there.

We have had a conservatory installed just recently by Pegasus, I have to say what a wonderfull expierience this was from start to finish.

i have noticed there is a bad review from a company of nearly the same name based in Essex on doing research i can say that these are not the same people and after talking to Pegasus in Kent they wish to point out this was a Franchise operation and they have no association with them what so ever.

Once again thank you Pegasus KENT i have no reason not to recommend such a professional company and its nice to end up with exactly how their representative said things would go.

They put a lean to conservatory on my semidetached. It went up efficiently in 5 weeks but that's about all I can say on a possitive note.
During the build it took constant involvement with myself liasing with the builders and the project manager as they kept changing what had been agreed and playing on poor communications. Funny, I thought I paid for professional service so I would not have to oversee the build.
The brickwork was left filthy, they have been back to clean it 3 times over 8 months and it is still filthy.

I was told the polcarb roof was 1.1u but have still not had written confirmation which was promissed.
They said they were clean workers but they damaged the flags, hosepipe & front kerb from the skip.
The conservatory itself has two archways from the kitchen and dining room with a wall in between them which was the original house back wall. This wall showed damp after one month which they claim is not their problem and due to original house problems. Would you be happy to pay for professional service to build a room of which one wall is full of damp?

I also checked during the build that they were putting a cavity tray in but they did not. After several independent professionals said they should have put a cavity tray in and crossed the damp proof course into the exisiting house wall they agreed to try to repair the problem. We still have a damp problem over 8 months on due to constant excuses and not turning up or spending any real time to rectify the issue. I have now taken legal action!
I could mention lots of other unprofessional points but I'm sure you get the message.
